Jackie Toyama

Jackie Toyama is an administrative assistant at Garcia Marsalli, LLP. She grew up in Long Beach, CA where she attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School and afterwards moved to Orange, CA for her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production at Chapman University. During her time in college, she also found an interest in sociology and minored in Law, Justice and Social Control. One of her most memorable moments was interning with Chapman Law School’s Mediation Clinic where she worked closely with adolescents enrolled in a conflict-resolution program at Riverside Juvenile Hall.

She has previously worked in the film and entertainment industry with experience working as a production assistant, set decorator, prop stylist, art director and production designer. Various projects Jackie has worked on have gone on to film festivals such as the LA Shorts, Burbank International, San Jose International and San Diego Comic Con Film Festivals.

On her free time, you can find Jackie learning a new art medium, going to the movie theater with friends, or browsing the library for the next novel to read. Every year, she volunteers as a camp counselor at her high school’s human relations camp where she leads groups of high schoolers on a weekend-long trip to Big Bear full of seminar discussions and activities.
